Question Intake Questions

Okay, so Ive got myself a 1991 Nissan 240SX with the ka24e engine in it

now when im looking at an AEM short ram intake for example and i see "for s13" is that the sr20det engine? or is that another term for the car?

I dont wanna buy an intake for close to 200 bucks if its not gonna fit in my engine bay

all responses are appreciated

S13 Merely refers to the chassis code of the 1989-1994 240sx models, not the engine.

I believe that the AEM intake is made only for KA24DE motors only. Not the SR20DET

some of my buddies say the aem short ram isnt that effective. they say go for a "cold air" intake, and they also say that an injen intake, although more money, is alot better than the aem. i am interested in finding out myself.

Get an Ebay intake and then a KN filter. I used to be against Ebay crap, but after I got my Injen, I realize I should have went the cheap route. Yeah, the injen sounds good and everything, but to be honest, I cant feel a damn bit of difference in the butt dyno.

I dunno, I have an ebay intake on my daily driver and an injen on my 240, I prefer the injen because the quality of the extra stuff (couplers, hoses, filters)
