JDM Engines

Hey, I'm looking for an Engine Swap for my 95 240sx. I'd like tha SR20DET but everyone and their mom's have that engine. So I've been thinking bout the RB20/RB25 engines. Ne of yall have messed around with these engines. I know a guy that has a RB20 and he is very happy with it. Also if yall know ne sites that sell aftermarket parts for these engines would help thanks

Just get an S14 or S15 SR20DET. S14s have VVT on the intake cams. S15s have VVT on intake and exhaust cams. I personally wouldn't stray from the SR. The ones that I've rode in and the the things I hear about them, they're the most refined engine package out there; revs the smoothest, is one of the lightest, and has potential.

That's just my respective. Some people are strictly about power and supposidly this is better achieved with an RB25DET. I lost the URL but this one Canadian shop went through almost every motor in their 240 hatch: redtop SR20det, RB25det, RB26dett, and finally settled with a 2jz. Their comment was that the RB25det didn't make much more horsepower than the SR i think. Somebody find that site.

Only get VVT if you're not planning on replacing the cams; they are insanely expensive for those motors.

totally crap, the rb25 could outpower the sr anyday, stock to stock, modded to modded
