I've heard of Phantom Grip, but I'm unsure if they make it for RWD applications. Look for yourself, me too lazy.

yeah phatom grip is what it's called. Guess that they only make it for FWD. Anyone need one for a FWD? =)

Phantom grip will not live up to the roughness of drifting...it will break on your first hardcore day. And they do make them for RWD cars...

i have 240sx vlsd, at first it was ok but now i need an aftermarket one. it feels that on right hand corners the vlsd doesn't work so great. i got it for $150, which is pretty cheat. but now when i look back i should've saved $ and bought the aftermarked one. so my advice is: if your serous about drifting, then go with the aftermarket, u don't wanna spend $150-300 on vlsd and again spend +$900 on aftermarket. Drift ON

What about an LSD just being used for track purposes and some light but spirited driving?

This drifting non-sense is not something im interested in. Would a J30 LSD work for this or would it still burn out after time as it would with all these ricers thinking they're drift masters drifting their cars into walls?

socom58, please search. Even try google. Basically, a 2way locks up on both acceleration and deceleration (braking). A 1.5 locks up on acceleration, but not fully on deceleration, making it somewhat more stable in braking.
I have a 2way and I have had no problems with instability.

ZenkiSE, I think the burining out is that the viscous fluid used in the OEM diffs will eventually weaken and not be as effective. Especially if driven hard because they were not designed for that type of use.

Bro, cut the crap and just get the Kaaz 2 way. You will absolutley love it. Its' worth every penny. I love sliding around my area. It's the single best Mod to get other than a turbo Kit. I look at like this, you gonna spend $200-$250 on a used z32 and another $200 to get it installed. Then down the line your gonna want more because the 1.5 just won't cut it anymore. Then your gonna have to swap it out and put the 2 way. Bro, save yourself the BS and go all the way.....you will not regret it and you will save money in the long run. Been there, done that.

yea, but how much cheaper? I didn't think it was that big a difference. Also from what I read here http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20t...ential_101.htm
comparing the manufacturers, it seems Kaaz is made better.

Go with Nismo 2-way clutch type....great for drifting, locks nicely, and very predictable feel to it. I've drifited an S13 with it and it feels beautiful. NiSMO 2 WAY LSD $699.00
