i just bought an N1 for my s13 it's on it's way. a few guys have N1's on their's out here and they all love em. one guy uses the silencer and it's pretty effective. i woulda got the dual but got a good deal on mine-$325. plus its one 9' length.

Thats an excellent deal, any way other members can get in on that deal?
hey hey , we arent that fortunate to have a n1 dual or not... some of us like to go no named and get a regular exhaust... so leave us alone... 325 is alot for an exhaust... dont u guys think ?
That is cheap my friend, my n1 universal cost me about 215 and that without the piping, so 110 more and get everything thats a hot deal.
sounds good.. where did u get it ? and i would like to know... how much better is a n1 from a regular exhaust import... for example take mine...
the N1 is one of the best exhausts on the market. hands down. all agree? yeah its loud but a deep rumbly loud. not tin can.
i found mine at a site called www.automotiveswap.com they have a classified section guys have 300zx brakes, turbos and all kinds of stuff. there arent alot of new posts there. but thats where i found it. |
There are silencers available for the N1 dual, but they're not included.
I bought mine from www.enjukuracing.com for about $525 delivered. It would have cost me more than that to have a shop replicate the N1 Dual with decent mufflers and crush bent mild steel tubing. And even then I'm not guaranteed the fit or the gains of the Apexi version. There are not too many shops around here that I would trust to do custom exhaust work, and the few that do tend to charge. Custom work does nt come cheap in New England... or most places in the Northeast for that matter. As for a custom SS mandrel system, most places that do custom mandrel work use pre-bent tubes and weld them together. Welds penetrate and disrupt flow. Depending on the number and quality of the welds, you could end up with a 'mandrel bent system' that may not flow as well as an equally sized crush bent version. Not a rule, but it is possible. -Justin http://www.saltgod.org |
also another note..
certain jdm exhausts are 80 mm.. with ur stock setup.. you will leak exhaust between the cat and the piping.. i have a 5 zigen rocket.. from jspec 400 shipped.. very simple.. not to bigg.. but very loud without the silencer..the silencer comes with it. |
I would go with a Blitz NURSpec Exhaust, gotta love Blitz, second choice Apex'i, then the Fireball I heard is good, but its way toooooo loud, but then again agressive's is for a sr20 so once he gets that sr he'll be quieter;)
the only reason its loud is because i lost my fing silencer on the gsp..
if u have it then u will be good.. i say if u go na.. stick with 60 |
well that shouldn't matter that's why they have a gasket in between the connection to stop exhaust leaks. THe connection point in a cat back system is identical to the factory one due to it being a "bolt-on" product. This way a new gasket should stop any leaks, which shouldn't have been there in the first place.
i have the n1 w/ 80mm piping STRAIGHT back. This is one of the reasons i like the N1, it is one piece, hardly any bends, and no welds. I have a dummy cat off of an s14 and they fit together perfect, and if you are thinking turbo... a downpipe will solve all those problems. I say the N1 is the best catback system, blitz is good too but the nurspec is 2 peice contruction.
2 piece is cool becuase cheaper shipping costs. but point well taken.
ahhhh..when my car is 100% im not gonna go cheap anymore.... wait about a few months.... by next summer my car is gonna be kool.... DONT GO CHEAP... YOULL FACE THE CONSEQUENCES (my spelling sucks)
tell me about it! i got railed on shipping. on some sites they even say that shipping will be EXTREMELY HIGH for the N1. hey i think it was worth it, i notice a big difference up top.
