lol true!!!

so guys, i did work today....

first thing was well, i got paid on friday, cashed my check, and well, got some VERY important GTR type stuff done...

first, called progressive, got my full coverage insurance situated ($240 for 6mo)...

second, sent my girl off to the tag place to register all our cars, including the GTR, YES i was nervous, like i didn't even want to go in case anything happened, 12 digit vins and all... she came back about 20 minutes later saying "well marshall, let's put our tags and stickers on our cars!" i bout hit the ******* roof...

so, i went to fix the tag to the GTR, with my fancy GReddy plate cover, no joy, i guess real JDM tags hava a different bolt pattern so i frantically got the drill, and drilled out new holes.... it wasn't 1 minute after that i kissed my girl goodbye, door thunk closed, tires screeched and i was GONE in the GTR...

holy **** RHD with gobs of power is INSANE in city traffic... going to take a while to get used to....

either way, first stop, one of my "sponsors" shops for a check up on the old girl... fluid flush (trans, diffs x3, etc) and overall inspection... i guess here is where the build begins....
DSCF2034-1.jpg?t=1264049480

other than that, spent the rest of the day wrenching, claw came out, hung out we chilled in the shop, drank some brews, did some bench racing....

going back tomorrow for follow up maintainance... plugs, oil change, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, hicas flush etc etc... working on getting this car ready for the dyno tune....

oh, and D day +1 for my car not being seized as i put the tag on and drove like 75 miles... D+1....

having third gear kicks ***!! took the cop on a ride in the industrial part, clutch dropped first, went to 8K with the open wastegate screaming, hit second, instant power, then THIRD!!! WOOOT and i got scared cause we were going like 90+mph (no idea how fast, speedo doesn't work, and had tunnel vision), down a pot holed, raised manhole street... cop got out, said "that was eye opening, i knew it was fast but hoooof!"

good day, so far, got the tranny in with no issues, cars running strong... now for tires/dyno tune...
