custom dash work

Has any one tried to customize their dash to have the cd player inside the dash on the top but coming out at a 45 degree angle?

I know I would need to modify, or remove the ac duct, I will have my boost, and vacuum gauges in the ac duct so it doesn't matter to me if I have to take the stuff out!

you know right above the center AC outlet, and on the right side of the steering wheel!

Is there even enough space to do it?

I need the spot where the cd player is located at now!

Where the red rectangle is at on the dash!

like i said in the 1st post, i knew that I would have to modify the ac stuff.

I have all the tubes from my coupe part out I can use them to make it from the stock spot from where it connects from the engine bay and then "T" it off to the side vents, and defosters!

Rip out your dash or buy an extra one, buy some bondo, and go to town.

sounds like a good idea.

one question, I'm going to sounds stupid, once again, oh well!

is there different bondo for different materials? like a bondo for plastic, a bondo for metal, etc.?

up that high on the dash it would be hard to read in the sun. Plus if it was a really good one it would be really easy to steal (aka smash the windshield)

sorry, I forgot to say, when I cut the dash out, the rectangle I will keep and use actutors to make the cutout move back and forth so the cd player will be hidden, so when the cutout is in place it looks like a stock dash!

you see what I mean?!

I'm not to worried about the sun, it's dual motorized flip screen, with remote. The player is a Dual XDMR7700 cd player, mp3, wma, ipod, XM, and more!

i don't really keep the face in the open position, so it wouldn't matter to me if the sun is beaming down on it. I can always let it go back in to keep it from warping also!

S13 thats cool, I love hang overs too!
