That's garbage dude. Piece together your own kit and rent a welder to do your downpipe etc. Spend $ on a decent turbo, wastegate, and ecu tune, but wait for good deals and you will come out less than that junk with name brand parts where it matters. You can get away with an ebay turbo manifold and s13 intercooler kit though.

 

That's so true man; I just remember piecing together my first setup and it was SUCH a headache; but always do it right instead of being lazy, I suppose. I need to learn some patience, I'm so hard headed, lol.

Looks pretty nasty; its also on the inner panel, which is no bueno. You'll have to cut it, weld and, well, looks like youre gonna need a wide body, unless you can find the entire section and someone who wont charge you more than 1-2 grand in labor...

 

Hmm. Well if I need to get the cancer out, I might as well cut it for now and see if I could weld something on there in the meantime while I search for a rear panel...

 

looks like it's time for overfenders. replacing those rear quarters will be expensive!

 

Yeah, I'd recommend cutting out the rust and then weld that section shut, give is a good coat of rustoleum or whatever can of spray paint you got and get some mild over fenders. Way cheaper route than to replace that quarter panel and wheel well lining... and whatever else is effected.

 

Do you guys recommend certain overfenders beyond others? I was looking at Chargespeed or Origin -- those are the only two I could really find though. I'll probably go that route instead then.

M-Sport, genuine M-Sport is probably the best quality over fender in 20 and 50 mm. 20 mm is barely noticeable.

Are these the ones you're talking about? I've been trying to find LEGIT M-sport ones, but I can't seem to locate them. I heard Chargespeed was also decent from what I've read...and may go that route if I can't find any better. This does look like it would solve my problem and allow for wider wheels at the same time. MIGHT AS WELL.

 

No, those are knock offs, requires a lot of sanding and a bit of bondo to smooth out the surface. Check out Version:Select, 50mm overfenders, but will def meet the needs if you go super wide tires.

Version:Select is pricey, but very little work required for a smooth surface and installation. I know of only 3-4 genuine complete S14 kits from the actual Version:Select company that were purchased and used on cars here in the US, one of them being my friend in the Bay Area.

version select is just knock off vertex though. Really any fiberglass wide fender is going to require a lot of body work to get it so it isn't wavy.

 

Is it the fenders they copy? I thought V:S was good stuff?

Vertex is good too... dunno why I keep forgetting about them...

as long as you get a decent name brand over and some filler and elbow grease you can make the fender fit and finish well.
