Updates been slow; work and crap...but as it stands I can't drive the car with this hole. My friend can weld and suggested that I cut the section out and weld a new piece...thought they had a welder in which they replied: I thought you had one?

So they come back up from school on Friday, so I'm trying to find a place that'll rent one out at least. I've got the metal all ready anyway:

I don't know how good of a job this is, but I just wanted to cut that cancerous part out, weld that shut, then work on finding some decent overfenders.

Let me know if there is anything you guys can suggest with how to patch this also. Thanks.
