Now I've heard it all and I've seen the results of buying cheap *** Ebay parts for your car. But I was wondering...

What if you bought racing seats from Ebay? Would it really matter if their knock offs as long as they look good?

 

I would spring for oem seats from a skyline or newer s-chassis, heck even ser/vspec seats; durability, support, looks, and rigidity will all be much better over stock. you could always have "nismo" embroidered at an uphoulstry shop for cheap if you want the name. I have heard that Tenzo R seats are pretty nice though, and can be found on ebay

 

well it would matter if that particular cheap knock off brand uses crappy materiels which would feel generally uncomfortable or make your a** fall asleep. Like silviaks2nr said, if you can get oem or genuine aftermarket seats for a decent price go for it, otherwise you'll dread every time you gotta drive your car until you get decent seats.

 

if looks are all that matter to you go ahead and buy them...but if durability, comfort, performance, or practicality mean anything to you get some quality ****

What's the worst that can happen with eBay seats? Maybe a random metal rod will be protruding out from the bottom piece so you'll have a metal rod poking you up the ***...then again you might enjoy it, who knows.
