fast, cheap way to get rid of factory spoiler
fast, cheap way to get rid of factory spoiler
Well, i was getting tired of my spoiler leaving little rust trails under it above the taillights.. so I took it off, and saw that it had rusted around 3 of the holes... so I threw the spoiler out, took out the plastic plugs that were in the bigger holes... then I took a sander to the holes, and sanded down to metal... tapped it off, and put a few coats of primer... went and bought a can of gloss white spray paint $3.59, and sprayed over the primer.. the color almost matched perfectly, i was surprised..
then I went to home depot and bought four 5/16", and six 5/8" white nylon hole plugs for $3.49.. put a little rtv silicon around the inside edges and plugged the holes... then I took my figernails and got the extra silicon off from around it when it dried.. here's some pics..

this is just temporary until I decide to find a new hatch or acually fill in the holes...
