Question glow guages

Does anyone know how to change out glow guages w/out taking off the needles, and if not is their a special tool to take them off so they dont get uncalibrated??

I haven’t done it to mine but I have done it to other cars. Usually all you need to do is carefully slip the gauges around the needles. Sometimes it is a little tricky but it can be done.

With the cars I have done, the only needle that does spring back is the gas needle. The speedo and tac both spring back to 0. The gas will stay where you move it. So put some tape where the gas needle is and mark the exact location with a pencil on the tape so if it moves you can move it back, then take the tape off.

i got my glow gauges in today and i want to install them, but before i do i need to know which wire controls the dash. The handle that comes out on the left side to control your dash and flip and turn ur lights on. Anyone know what color it is so i can directly wire my new glows into it so i can turn them on without sum dumb switch. Any help

if the hole in the new gauge faces isn't big enough to slip over the needle, then the needle has to be pulled off. BTW they don't automatically go back to zero - they may spring back down to the pin, but that doens't necessarily mean that the needle is positioned on the needle shaft in the correct direction; you can reinstall needles so that they are not pointing at the correct number and you wouldn't know it.

For power, use a test light and probe the wires coming out of the light stalk; it shouldn't take more than 10 seconds to find a switch power source.

yeah i wired it into my panel switch so when u turn on my head lights they turn on, but they dont. I still have to push the button. I'll get it taken care of one day. They look beautiful though. I really like your car but it seems a little to low, just my opinion though.
