silverstars are yellow during the day... whitish yellow at night. if you want to go hid you need the real deal not a plug in kit. you need to retrofit projectors from a factory hid equipped car. your lenses will also need to be clear not textured so the cutoff is not distorted. visit hidplanet forums for more detailed info. you do not want silverstars its not worth the money. my bud has them on his volvo and it looks awfully stock

Well I was snooping around and found this website that has "Xentronic" HID conversion kits. It's on OptionImports.com, does anyone know anything about the site, is it trustworthy...legit, or a ripoff? Here's the site with the types of HID kits they have. From what i read it sounds like it can be put into any type of car and they have 4 types of bulbs to choose from.

lol you missed the point man. the focal point of the light in a halogen bulb and in a hid capsule is in different place. the capsule has the light emitted further out creating a high beam like spread. hid capsules also emit light from the sides not the front and sides like halogen so you will get terrible hot spots, glare, and black spots. hid kits are terrible

if you want try streetglow/optics bulbs. the glass is blue with a sliver top on them. the headlight itself is going to look light blue, but the light they give off is more of a pure white. usually run from 25-35 bucks depending on where you go, and they come with a 1 year warranty. you could try that if you want.

I bought the "diamond Cut" headlights for my 93 coupe and they came with the blue covered lights. the blue outside of them really makes them go white and they are way better than the original one's that come with the whole casing and cost more. Besides, now I only have to change the bulb, not the whole casing. I installed them before last years's halloween so far so good, they don't burst into flames. I know that next time I need some headlights I'm gona buy them on Ebay. So I would say go buy those blue covered lights that they come in 2 for 15$ in pepboys or other place, they are white. Unlike silverstars which are like 1 for 30 bucks.

I paid 30 Bucks for two diamond cut headlight casings and they came with the Blue lights.

man, stick with silverstars....use the money for the HID's elsewhere...like making your car faster..or handle better. For the price of a lot of HID conversions you can get a tien kit and your car will handle like a dream.

What matters more?

Having HIDS or pulling better numbers on a track?

not quite. if you put a hid bulb by a hyper white one it's a big difference. it makes hte hyper white look yellow.

you need h4. that conversion doesn't use h4 i think. you would need to get ehatever the conversion uses but beware those are fog lights and don't produce a beam pattern to be used as a headlight.

i had those. it'll burn your harness so you'll need an upgraded harness. BTW the headlight is blue and the light on the ground is white blue.
