see the headlight up/down push-button on the left of the gauge cluster? pull it out (gently). cut the green wire. attach a ~5" segment of wire to each end. pull wire through the blank spot below the pushutton. replace pushbutton, making sure the wires don't get pinched or anything. attach the two segments of wire to a simple toggle switch (a buck or two at RadioShack). done. to get sleepy-eye effect, hit button to flip lights up. flick toggle switch off. hit button. flip toggle switch to "on," lights will come down, flick switch to "off," lights will stay in that position.

what he said^^^. Its pretty easy, took me about 15 minutes from taking everything off to putting it back together. Basically you pop your lights up then press it to bring them down, and as they are coming down you press your custom toggle switch and the lights stop..easily done.

When you say to each end...what do you mean? I understand cutting the green wire but then do I just attach JUST that extra wiring to the toggle switch?

You are going to cut the green wire and get one wire from the toggle switch to one side and the other wire to the other side. Think of it as just sticking a toggle switch in the green wire line, only you would need more wire to mount the switch were you want it...

Alright, I figured it out. Here is my experience.

I clipped the wires, stipped some of them off. And I didn't know what kind of wire to use so I found some old christmas lights and cut 6ft. of it off. I hooked it up and mounted the switch in the compartment behind the ash tray. It looks good and I also baught a red light up toggle switch for it. It took about 15 mins (including going to radioshack to get the stuff) to do it all. It was easier than I thought.
