It helps with quicker revs (less mass on fly), which leads to faster spooling. So yeah, it'll help out a wee bit.

Edit: Also i never went off course or hit a cone. My time was 52.922 and average modded STi and Evo times were 47-48sec's so i think i did good for what i had
