Cool My White Pearl

I got this beauity on Friday

this is the night that i bought her, sadly the thing had been sitting under a tree, and kind of neglected, although the people were awsome, they just kinda let the car crap out...we spent 2 hours detailing the inside, even though its in immaculate condition, there was just dog hair and sticky pop residue in the center console...notice the scratches in the front lip...i fixed that fast

here she was on sunday, right before i gave her her first wash in probably 2 months (see front lip, fixed now )

and heres some after the wash. I still need to polish and wax it, that will really help, as well as remove the pinstripe and the stupid black rubber around the wheel wells.

So what do you guys think? Heres some specs:

1995 240SX SE
80k miles
All options, including VLSD, but no leather (which is good)
5spd
Apen White Pearl Glow (yes its a pearl....ties for my new fav color)

its such a totally awsome car, im in LOVE

(and no, thats not me in the pic, thats my girlfriend)

My gf helped me detail my s13 when I bought it too. And she peeled off the pinstripe because *quote* "You don't have a steady hand, and I'm getting tired of holding this damn hairdryer!" lol. That'sclean. White s14 are super clean with dark tint and candy tails.

ps: Your gf kind of looks like mine too... hey! jp, lol. She does look like her though.

hot gfs rock....yeah, we peeled the pinstipe off of my celica, she ended up doing most of the work too because she said i was taking too long

so is a blowdryer the best way to remove the pinstripe and tape holding the black rubber around the wheel wells or should i look more for a heatgun?

last time i used goo gone and it took way to long and i was not satisfied...

I used a hair dryer to heat it up, then I used simple green (kind of like goo gone, but weaker imo) to get the glue off. Heat gun would work better then a hair dryer, but hair dryers are easier to find and cheaper . It might get too hot with a heat gun though. Even with a hair dryer, it get's really hot, and sometimes just falls apart as you peel it back.

ehh?! I would not use anyhting with the term 'dremel' in it on my body surface, lol. Another alternative to removeing the glue is clay bar wax. With enough time, that crap can get anyhting off of your paint, lol.

Clay bar is only like $25 for a good kit. It will take you a while to do it though. That's why we have gfs though isn't it, lol.

We have those tools at work for cleaning wheels. We use them with metal polish, they clean wheels easy. I don't think it's too safe on finish though. We can't use them on wheels with clear coats because they are unsafe.
