when doing a front end conversion from an s13 to 14 or 15, do the body parts need to be more or less the same year as the base car, or it really doesnt matter. as long as all the new parts are the same year its a go?

and im stuck between converting to an s14 or 15

okay.. i have a 1991 240sx fb. im asking, for a conversion. does it really matter what year bumper u get to put on my 91 (example, a 96 s15 front bumper. will that fit on my 91 240?)

 

the lights, bumper, fenders and hood all have to be from the same year/same ganeration car. ie: s14/95-96 s14/97-98 s15/99

s15 and 96 do not go together

the lights that are pictures are from a jdm silvia s13

 

yeah i only know my year car.. dont know much about s14/15

im thinking of a jdm silvia s13 front end conversion.. so i need fenders, bumper, hood, lights, mounting brakets and money correct..

fyi: 89-94 = s13
95-96 = early s14
97-98 - s14

99 = s15

umm, i think..
s13 front is bolt on for 89-94
s14-s15 r bolt on for 95+
if it is not in that order than you'll need customization
(correct if im wrong)

 

S14 and S15 fenders, bumpers, lights, hoods are not interchangable

 

no they r not interchangable, but what i meant was that to convert from s14 to s15 or vice versa, it is bolt on

 

s14 and s15 are only bolt on if you have good conversion fenders, the stock s14/s15 fenders will not bolt up

 

Lets make this simple. If you want to convert your S13 to a S15, you need the conversion fenders, the headlights and then any hood and bumper for a S15. You can't use a S13 bumper or S14 hood.

 

nah i chose the s13 silvia.. not gonna do the s15

but the main parts would be the fenders and headlights.. other than that, the bumper can be any s13 bumper for my year as well as the hood..
