that is a clean coupe and in the land of ice and snow it is even more rare of a find... i agree with the keep it simple idea not a lot of flash or bling and no rice... but it is not my car so what i suggest is not what you might want...

i did have one other comment about the car... you dont like the fact that it is an auto... now im an older guy than most people on this forum... 36 years old and i have bad knees from being a stupid kid... so i drive an auto...but the auto 240 is not so bad of a thing... it takes some loking but you can make the auto transmission into a kick *** little performer... things like manual valve body and a torque converter are parts that will make the auto out perform a stick in most situations...

with a manual valve body it will act like a stick because you have to shift it yourself... but you dont have the clutch to have to worry about... you can keep the motor in the powerband just like you can with a stick... you can down shift or upshift at your will...

a better torque converter will in effect raise the stall speed and make it a suatable car for the drag strip... able to hold the car on the line at a predetermined rpm until the lights go green... then hammer down and off you go... now this is a bit of a pain if you drive it on the streets... sometimes you will find yourself sitting under the stall rpm and having to rev the motor until it reaches its rpm point befor you can go... once you get used to it it will not be such a problem...

i just dont want you thinking that your 240 is not as good as others because it is an automatic... with a little work it will perform just as good and you dont get clutch leg from sitting in stop and go rush hour traffic...

it really is true though, i got such a clean coupe for a montreal car, anyways do you have price ranges for those conversions as i said im, still in school trying to make al iving plus fancying up my car a little, il ike the idea of themanuel valve body, its what i wanted anyway i love to shift the gears hate to have to put the clutch down you kno anyways if you can provide me with some info it be great thx man very useful info over here :d

Im down with you brother..!!! Im 41 years old and between my 89 manual 240 and my other 91 auto coupe, I seeing myself driving the auto more and more....HEHEHE!!! Not too bad on the power band specially with the DOHC....very smooth, I bought it for my son and trying to talk him out of doing the 5 speed conversion on it....

manual trans is out, auto is cool and trendy for old people....

 

yo guys wat do u think i dont kno the name of the mags im geting but should i go for chromed one or gun metal or silver or black iuno wat would look bewst for my car

auto is only kool if your rollin in a benz.

but i got mad respect for you, not only because your older, but because i saw your thread over at FA and peoples was raggin on you after you posted up ur car and said it took u 18yrs to finish or watevers. thought they was wrong for doing that. mad respect for you.
