Question about paint codes

I tired searching the board, only came up with something about S15's.

My 240 is a metallic burgundy. It has been repainted in the past (rather poorly), so the color may not even be stock. Its not Cherry Red Pearl-that's too bright. Where on the body is the paint code located? On my Honda, its on the driver side door sill. I dont see anyhting like that on my Nissan.

Did Nissan even have a burgundy OEM color in 1990?

OK saw a 95 today with the same paint, so I know it's OEM.

Can anyone direct me or tell me what the color is?

The color code can be found in your engine bay. It is on the passengers side of the fire wall. Just look on the little vin number plate that is ther it should tell you your paint code.

You can check what color it is here.
