Removing Carpet

What's the best way to remove the carpet without cutting it and without removing the whole dash? Is there a way? I'm trying not to cut or damage any factory parts during my stripdown. Thanks.

Good luck with that. Those damn plastic clips always break.

There is no way to remove it without cutting part of it.

the cut is hidden anyways if you're worried about that. But yeah - the "best" way is to remove the dash and the impact brace. There's no other choice.

It's out, I cut it, and glad I took it out. I got two small rust holes at the back end corners of the floor pan...gotta fix em up.

Removing the brace is more then just unscrewing it. You will have to move a bunch of other crap out of the way too.

I am going to cut mine behind the console so it will never be seen

well for S14's there's 2 nuts on the left, 2 bolts on the right, 2 bolts in the center, 1 bolt behind the cluster, and you unclip the antenna and airbag harness wires... which to me isn't that much of "a bunch"
