Yeah everybody says buying a motor for 1000 is stupid, cause you never know what you might end up with. Its not like your gonna know anyways...sure its been compression tested,WOW, thats not everything. But if its in Japan thats why its so cheap. I can get a ford 2.3L turbo motor for like $300 and they come with a garret T3. Its just the fact that its domestic as is the sr20 in Japan. Can you get a hold of a front clip with like 30-40,000miles on it for a grand? If so how much do you think shipping would be?
kadena air base, okinawa. for a long time. im waiting for my jap friend to get done with his work and visiting his mom in the hospital, it'll be awhile. ive been to alot of junkyards, and it's a gold mine for import lovers. my brother said the lowest for the whole thing goes around 500, but that pricing is rare to find. front clip would prolly be like 1000 bucks. shipping?? i dont know, i wanna know that myself. alot of ppl dont believe me about me being in oki, all i get is insults, but if i gotta prove it, let me know.

im not in okinawa no more at the moment, in florida for a couple years, save up money, my brother got busted and the colonel decided to kick him off the island indefinitely or something, that meant my family had to leave the island. holy **** i cried when we had to leave. but ill be back to it. at junkyards, they have fences but there are cars outside of it, like they had this old school rx7 with nice killer rims just sitting there, all you needed was the right tools a truck and voila! free rims. skylines are like that, silvias, etc. free speakers and all that, but theyre stock. many things join the military or get SOFA status. and you might have a chance to go there but i tell you, u might never wanna leave.

I trust you somewhat (some people are just @ssholes), which is pretty good for me not even knowing you. If you could figure out a way to get sr20's over I know i'd be more than happy to hook you up with some extra cash.
Just curious.......................How much could I get a used R33 for in Okinawa(1995,1996model turbo)?
This will probably make me want to pack up and go now

One of the locals has the S15 front on his S13FB. It is white and is fantastic.

gimme a few days, i can talk to my friends on msn, they live in okinawa and japan, hopefully they'll come on, busy living over there.they'll have the prices in their brain i never paid attention to the r33 turbo pricing, and are you asking about the single turbo, dont bother asking about gtr engines cuz aint nobody dumb enough to throw that **** in the junkyard, but i do know alot a pricings for silvias and they are super cheap thanks to junkyards, of course. and for shipping i have no clue bout how that **** works when it comes to shipping engines. i just figured you throw it in a box, weigh it, and pay for whatever it weighs, and all that kind of crap.

anyways, that picture of the silvia is awesome, i have that along with a thousand other pics of cars as my screensaver, it's a slideshow screensaver, every 10 seconds a different car pops up.

by the way ppl, you know those old *** onevias that are convertible, can you convert that front end to a s15? ever since i came to the states, they have so many freakin 240's, and i was wondering if the convertible onevias are the same as all other 180sx front ends in the states.

The S15 conversion would work for any S13. Coupe, convertable, hatch.... It's all the same. Personally I don't like S15 front ends on coupes and convertables, the S13 Silvia front end looks much better.

I'd like to know who did the job too. I need my car painted, maybe I could go to the same place? Where'd he get it done, Stanbo?
