Smokes SR Powered S13

Hello everyone, I am finally starting a thread to show all the work I am doing to my car. I have started saving up to rebuild the SR over the winter. Here are a few pictures for now.

I bought this car with the SR20DET and FMIC already installed for $2500.
The car was barely running and half of the wiring was wired wrong. It took alot of work to get the car into good running condition. Mostly everything had to be rewired and the gaskets on the turbo had to be replaced.

First night I bought the car, I brought it to my friends car shop and we started working on it extensively throughout the night. There was a drifting event the next day and I was planning on attending it. We rewired Half of the bad wiring, installed a welded diff, installed baby battery, and chopped the springs.(this was just temporary. I now have Tein SD coil-overs)

I had one hour of sleep before I had to get up and drive 2 hours to Beaverun Motorsports Complex. This was the second event ever that I attended. I had drifted at an event one month earlier with my 92 N/A S13.

The motor has lasted one season and I want to rebuild it for the next season. The timing chain is starting to make noise now. If I am going to pull the motor apart, I might as well just build it up. This will be my first motor build. I am going to take my time and make sure I buy quality parts and install everything correctly.

While the motor and transmission are out of the car, I am going to take the time to redo all the bushings in the suspension. There is also a few spots on the body that are starting to corrode. I will take the time to clean them up and patch it.

Modifications done to car.

Deer at 50mph. Luckily it was a small deer.

Thats battery acid under the car. Battery got smashed.

Guess its an excuse to do a silvia conversion and get a CF hood.

It was very good. Like I said before, it was small so it was very tasty. Yeah, my car looks alot better than this now, I put another headlight assembly on it and straightened the core support a little.

Yeah, I am really considering the SIL80. I will prob just throw my hood from my other car on it till I can afford the silvia conversion.

I am buying an HKS GT2510 for $500. And a wideband, and SAFC.

The deer actually went airborn and flew over my car. The headlight launched bambi in the air. HAHA.

Stupid deer. Stupid expensive deer.

I have a full standard Chuki front end (hood, bumper, lights, fenders.) for sale cheap if you want it incase you cant afford the sileighty or you just want to fix it and get on the road again. The front is the aztec red so it will match pretty well. Hit me up if your interested. Ill let it all go dirt cheap. I'm in central PA and can meet you halfway to deliver. Kinda need the **** out of my garage.
