think I can fix this myslef?

The clear coat around my rear window is bubbling up a little bit. As far as I can tell the paint underneath is fine. Now I have pretty much no experience painting cars, but Im pretty sure I can borrow the tools from someone. Is there anyway I can fix that by just sanding lightly and putting a new coat of clear over it? thanks for any advice.

try to wetsand it with some really high grit paper. get some rattlecan clear mask off the general area and go to town. after it dries blend the oem clear and the clear you just applied together with high grit (start like 400-800-1000-1500-2000) use some polishing compound then a nice coat of wax. see if you can't make it look halfway decent

silviaks2nr has it about right. Though after the clear is applied I wouldn't start with anything less than 1000 grit. If you go any lower, you might not be able to bring it back smooth again. I would wet sand with 1500 for a while to blend real well, then go to a 2000, and probably finish with something above 2k like 2.2 or 2.5. that makes polishing out with some compound alot easier.
