when it was rebuilt did they put in a new water pump & thermostat? thats something you'll need to know. Other than that, check for normal replacement stuff, see if the plugs & wires have been done recently, fuel filter, o2 sensor, clean the mafs, air filter. Other than that you should be good. Tie rod ends are quick to go out on s13's, check your outer tie rod ends. Other than that I reckon you should be good to go! Any problems needing adressed?

just to add to what the Dr. said, you might also want to check your radiator and coolant hoses since those are a commonly replaced item on 240s. we wouldnt want your new 240 overheating, now would we

this isn't mechanically-related, but run it through a carwash and check for leaks, especially if you have a hatch or if it has a sunroof. My friend's 92 hatch had a water leak in the sunroof at the exact place where the dripping water would fall on his face... not good if it's rainy outside and very dangerous. He also had water coming into the hatch on the right side (fixed with silicone) but if that wasn't caught, eventually his car probably would have smelled like a fish tank.

On the mechanical side, I think Doc forgot to mention a timing check. BTW when did you get Moderator honors, Doc? GJ

yeah, I didn't mention a timing check because I don't know how yet, lol.

And they gave mod status to hyjnx and I because between both of us we're on 24/7. It's a bit of work but so far so good. Mainly i've just been moving posts to the FAQ section.

Also make sure that the brake calipers arent leaking. And shift up and down through all the gears to check out the syncros. I usually will go with a 1/2 inch ratchet so I can check the oil levels in the tranny and diff. And if he argues that he won't let you then you can whack him with it.

yeah, check for the smell of fuel, the o-rings going bad are not very common, but it's been heard of happening.
