New guy in the SE area with an S14

What's up everybody. I'm new to the 240 family and looking for some help. I tried posting in the engine swap area and nobody seems to wanna answer. If you could shed some light on the subject I'd be very greatful. Here are my questions.

don't see the purpose in paying all the extra money for an S14 front clip when the S13 is supposed to be just as good if not better in some respects than the S14. I am planning on using the S13 Blacktop out of the 94-98 180SX. Is that going to be a drop in swap or is there going to be modifications galore like I'm afraid there will be? Any and all info that you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance everybody. Laterz.

And, Also, is it possible to pass an emissions test after the SR20 swap is complete? I'm moving to a place where I'll have to pass emissions. Once again any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

SR20s from any year silvia or 180sx will be a drop in. If youve done engine swaps before, its not any harder. If you have a complete uncut wiring harness itll be alot easier. As for the emissions, havent heard of any SR20s that passed smog *legally*

Why not look into an RB25DET? 250hp stock, up to 400 on stock turbo. Fairly easy install. If you want to know more I have reliable foreign resources.

With a Black Top, you will need the Driveline.
As for an S13 OR S14, it is the suspension that was softened to sell the appeal of ride to the U.S. market. There is No real diff other than that, Mainly when you talk of dropping in a 240Hp stock SR Turbo.
SMOG!? As stated above, no LEGAL way.. That's all

I'm actually waiting on the engine to get my first RB swap (or any swap for that matter ) underway. The guy helping me is in Australia (www.japimports.com.au) Very resourceful. I figured that since this is one of the countries that actually got to take full advantage of the turbo Nissan era, they should probably have some knowhow (and parts)
