still havnt figured it out... frustrates me i checked codes again and i keep getting a 55 which means everything is fine... i unplugged the ect sensor while it was running and i got a code 13 which is a ect code but nothing else.
also code 55 basicly means nothing is unplugged cause it would tell me which clears up one of my worries i thought i left something unplugged.
now i have to figure out what it is, i cant even go anywhere w/o my other battery for fear of my car not starting before the battery dies.
oh here another hint if it can help anyone figure this out when im having a hard time starting it i smell gas, so now im wondering if its too rich while its starting or its not sparking. now why would outside temperature affect these two possibilities.... man i swear if it was someone elses car i woulda figured it out already.
oh one other thing i replaced all the rubber fuel hoses going from hard line to motor i dont think i got exact factory size but it seals would that make a problem?

well i changed out the ECT sensor with one from a 91-94 sentra SE-R they had it in stock $15 so i got it. didnt seem to be the problem... but the more i think about it the more i think its the injector seals. i mean i dont think anything else like that would go bad from just sitting there other then seals.
anyway i had bought new seals for my new injectors so ill just put them on my stock injectors let it sit over night see if thats it.

by chance have you done a compression test? i know it sounds a bit pointless but i'm curious if there is enough of a difference in compression when the engine is cold and at normal operating temp. also could you specify "cold".
i'm still under the impression that you have a leaky injector. it's happened to be before with all the same sympathy with three different cars.

ok here is where i am at so far and im close to finding the problem. i put known good injectors not the problem and i put in a sard FPR and its not the problem.
hmm i installed my FPR with a guage and well its not the FPR cause ill let the car run then ill let it sit and ill check the guage and see the fuel pressure dropping slowly. i let the car run turned it off and the guage read 30psi i pulled out my radio put in a new one wired up 2 new speakers took me about 30min and i checked the guage again and it was at 10 psi...i set it to 43 psi with the vacuum hose disconnected btw
so yea where else can i lose pressure from? fuel pump? fuel lines? thing is i never see my car leaking anything.
also something i found peculiar was that the rubber pressure hose from fuel filter to fuel rail reaked of gasoline and nothing else around it did. maybe that line wasnt designed for fuel injection and its too porous. i didnt use factory lines because they were hard and brittle anyway ill change lines tomorrow and see if that helps any.

good to hear you figured it out. but when you say that is was the cas, what exactly do you mean? the only thing that i could think of to cause this problem under the described circumstances would be a cracked cover or broken water seal.
