Drilling For Intercooler???

Drilling For Intercooler???

What did you use to drill the or a hole in your engine compartment for the intercooler piping?

i used one of those hole drill bits mine was 3 1/2 inches around they sell them for plumbing i got mine from a hardware store

same thing...i used a drill to make a hole

I don't have any more pics from this point, but what I did next was used a file to smooth the edges. Then used 1/2 inch loom to line the hole with. The diagram below may also help.

I'll have to show you what it looks like now, we cleaned it up with a chisel. We did buy a hole cutter ($2 hole cutter? Try $12), anyways the old Black and Decker drill we had on hand didn't have the torque to cut through. So we just used what was on hand.

when i did mine i just drilled a bunch of 1/2inch holes in a circle and sawsall it out.. came out clean thats how the masses do it

lol i got mine for 2 dolla baby lol did the job broke when we tryed a second time on dif car but hey it did the job once and dam anyone wanna buy a ka24e? and anyone with a front lip? i need some cool ness lol

please dont do the ****ing hack job that I see on everyones cars.
You dont need 8" holes to run 2.5" I/C Piping through.

Also don't smash the metal out and fold it to the sides, thats so horrible.

i used a hole saw it came out super clean then i painted it with red gloss spray can to protect from corrosion and it looks good when i take my battery off lmao

Go to Harbor Freight, they give them away for free plus a $10 mail in rebate, they'll even throw in a free 100 piece socket set and a wood chipper.

wow i thought there was just one harbor freight, i didnt know there was a chain of them. I bought a dremel and like 25 bits there for like 5 dollars.
