Gt2871r question
I'm new to the 240sx scene. So I hope you'll forgive my ignorance. I'm researching the GT2871R turbo for the 240sx. What I would like to know (and this is probably a bit tedious) is what would be my shopping list for a bolt on solution for this turbo? This will really show my ignorance, but is there a difference in that shopping list if it is for a s14, and s15? And what would be those differences? I'm only asking about the turbo, and the hardware that would make it a seamless install. I'm not asking about the supporting modifications just yet. Assuming the car is completely stock and were to remain that way other then the turbos. What would I need to install this turbo. In advance I thank you for your time and information.

well
if you have a s13 red top and you wanna upgrade to a t28. you will need the compressor inlet and outlet attachments etc. they have a full kit for those now.
as far as the s14 black top and s15 black top.. which hardly no one goes with because the cost is just not worth it overall...
the s14 blacktop comes with a t28 the s15 comes with a Ball Bearing t28
for the rest of the info.. check this out bro. since you are new.. you may need to check this out to clear some things up for yourself about the difference in the engines.

Make sure you get a GT2871R with the T25 Tubine housing, that one will bolt up to your manifold and the rest of your exhaust.
My recommendations on what to get with the GT2871R
GT2871R T25 turbin housing (You pick the A/R)
Aftermarket O2 housing (While your at it, why not.)
Intercooler kit or piping kit (or just modified Cold pipe)
Maybe new Oil/coolant lines (but they are not needed)
Now remember, bigger turbo = more power.
There are other requirements if you plan on making more power.
Such as fuel and something to manage it.
Good luck.

It was a T3 flanged 4bolt discharge, one of the very first.
Along with one of the first peakboost top manifold kit
As seen here (Tobad it all got stolen out my garage, thats why i got the RB now)

i got the GT25 style housing but it bolts on like a stock t28 from a s14/s15
i had to order the s15 inlet and just get steel braided lines i wouldnt risk kinking the stock lines trying to bend them.
also here is a thread where one of our members installed a s14 t28 into his s13 redtop it will tell you everything you wana know
