Question What turbo should i get??

Im recently new to nissans, up until roughly 5 days ago ive never owned a japanese car, i picked up my 93 s13 from this girl i know who just needed the money, the car is almost flawless, with no rust and one small dent, i gave her 600 dollars anyways, in the four days ive actually had the car i did a sr20 red top swap from a s14, so far i have a greddy type M front mount with hard piping, a custom fab hot ic pipe with a TIAL bov mated to it, custom fab intake, apexi downpipe (for now the car is running open down pipe), walbro fuel pump, aem fuel rail, greddy injectors, a flexlite low profile electric cooling fan, greddy emanage ultimate, greddy intake and exhaust manifolds, wiseco pistons and eagle rods and crank that change the stroke to 2.2 and sadly enough i still have the stock turbo on it. any suggestions of what turbo i should go with, this is not a drift car, figured i should mention that too, im not entirely sure what i am going to do with it at this point it was kind of a test to see what i can do in a week.

NOTE: pistons and rods arent in the engine yet, and the greddy e-manage hasnt been hooked

Thanks, landin

yes spools fast on a 2.0 with a 2.2 it will most likly be insta-spool im getting the GT28RS spools little bit faster then the 2871 but thats what im looking for im not looking for much top end. and the GT2871RS is a true bolt on dont have to change anything from stock.

oh btw you have a early s13 model sr20det (nothing wrong with that) the s14 and s15 only came with a black valve cover on the turbo models. the s14 sr also has variable valve timing and a gt28 ball bearing turbo stock as opposed to the gt25 bushing turbo on the s13. but all of that is useless if u change the turbo and the cams, lol other wise same engine

i was thinking about the gt28 but im aiming for higher than 400 hp im looking to be at least over 600 or im just gonna sell the car, there is a company called forced performance that makes what they refer to as the red turbo, which a close friend of mine had on his sti and was making 550 to the wheels on pump gas and 18psi

well a sr can not make 600whp on the stock bottom end your gona have to completely rebuild the motor to withstand 600hp and you need the right tuning, turbo, standalone, fuel delivery, and many more things just off the top of my head.

rb25 i dont think can make 600whp on the stock bottom end

the rb26 has been known to make 700+whp on stock bottom end but id be very careful doing that.

either way its all expensive to do most likely be over $10k for each build to make 600+hp

i say stick a LS7 in it and call it a day 500hp 500tq and 25mpg also lighter engine then all SR RB and KA and somewhat street legal engine lol

GT28/GT28rs will max out at about 280 rwhp.

i just finished building the bottom end, i have the 2.2 stroker on it and im having issues with my iddle right now because of the maf i took it to the track yesterday and went 13.2 at 112mph on 10 psi, i installed my greddy emanage today set it up with a basic tune, and i just need to decide on what turbo i want to go with, 600 rwhp is slightly unrealisctic i would really just like to see the car running in the 11 second range, should i mension though that ive only had the sr running for 3 days now, and until i went to the track yesterday i had only launched the car 2 times, so not too bad i geuss

yeah well unfortunately i dont have the money for an rb or an ls1 and im pretty confident i can get the sr to where i want it to be, i built an sti to 550 awhp, a 2.0L vw jetta to 350whp, an srt-4 thats daily driven at 450, a cobalt ss, to 375 on a street tune, this just posses me more of a challenge i guess andi just didnt haven the funds to go any other route than sr20
