1993 Fastback Stance GR Pro Coilovers Install

Stance GR Pros (15way Adjus Shocks) - My first big install i performed on my S13. I do not have money for rims now so i got some Falken 205/50/R15s so my total diameter would be smaller allowing for more lowering.

Front Coilover, the front shocks on these Stances are inverted shocks, which is where the differ from the Megans and Ksports etc. And according to Stance that means they have smoother more even dampening with less heat build up and the oil is separated from the gas etc. It also means that you have to reach your hand down under there to adjust the 15way dampening.

The top bolt hole is eccentric which allows for a secondary adjustment along with the camber plate adjustment. I pulled them to the outer most position before tightening them down. Yes I realize the gold locking discs are not tightened down in this picture.

Still in the Adjusting phase here, but a pic anyway, Currently in this pic i think that the front is too high,

These next pics are after putting up the rear a smidge and the front down another 1/4inch or so. This is the fun part to me.

On this car the body all around from the outside seems to still be high, but the engine cradle and couple turns of the exhaust hang pretty low to me as you can see a little in this pic, believe me i would love to take her to the bottom.

The only problem is that I had pretty massive negative camber in the rear. I adjusted the factory rear upper a-arms to the max pos camber i could and it still wasnt enough so i bought some adjustable arms.
HOW IS THE RIDE YOU ASK!? Well I have driven a couple thous miles now and tried full hard shock setting all the way to soft, I know everyones opinion on what is good is different so, I will say that the ride feels very quality, and the hardest setting i like to engage on back country roads that are pretty smooth, similar to a track, with just enough dips and seams to give the ride a little character. this car is very light and it seems to enjoy getting more out of the road. the only thing i worry is the jarring everything else in the car takes via the harder suspension, means your engine and exhaust and everything else thats bolted down has to go up and down at the same frequency. I think about 6 down from the hardest setting fits me the best, but thats me. These are my only coils i have to speak of i would love to ride in some others.
