300zx calipers & ABS

if I put 300zx calipers up front, will I be able to retain my ABS?

I don't think so because there is no sensor on the brakes.

To do the 3Z calipers, u need new lines (u prolly already have em) and I believe u need the brake master cylinder from the Z as well to be able to provide the pressure power to use the calipers correctly... I think u can get a brake master cylinder w/ abs from a Z pretty easy, if u need Z parts, let me know

You don't need the brake master cylinder from a Z the 240's will work fine.

But then there wouldnt be enuff brake pressure to fully use the calipers in that case rite???

I know u have to upgrade the brake lines... some say get the brake master cylinder from the Z to compensate for the size difference... Is that true or the Silvia's brake master cylinder will be enuff?

The stock master cylinder works fine. Very few people do the Z master cylinder upgrade because it's a hassle since the lines don't match up.

Oops I'm sorry, but I'm wrong lol. You can use the master cylinder out of a Z31, Z32, or even a S12. For an S13 they all bolt in with no mods at all. The stock size is 7/8'', while the S12 and '85 Z31 are 15/16'', and the Z32 was 15/16'', 1'', and 1 and 1/16'' depending on the yr/model. For an S14 you'll have to modify the lines for any of these to work or you can get the master cylinder out of a automatic S14 which has a 15/16'' master cylinder. Hope this can clear it up cause I was pretty off.

Yeah, you should be fine. But just so I can smooth this out a little more... S13's with abs also had 15/16'' MC, but they don't work with non abs S13's. If you choose the S12's MC (to upgrade your S13) you need the 200sx Turbo non abs.
