Why would you put abs on the car? It is better not to have it for drifting. But that is just my opinion. As far as price, call the dealer or a junkyard for the parts

i don't have an actual number or anything, but i'm assuming it will cost you a real pretty penny.

i had to get my airbag fuse fixed or something, and that little bugger cost me like a grand..

don't listen to him.

not everyone drifts or does track events. but ABS for around town is great...it will save your *** if the time comes to use it. but i think it will cost alot...first just finding all the euipment used to make it work...then getting it placed on. when i look at my buddy's car w/o ABS there is alot less confusion and lines running than my car.

btw i drift with ABS.

Well, you dont have to listen to me if you dont wanna. I am just trying to say that it will cost a bundle to do this to the car. Probably most parts will need to be sourced new from the dealer. And you might have to upgrade the master cylinder and a bunch of other stuff And Ive never locked up either of my 240's, both of which are non abs. My friends car with abs, we got those brakes to lock up millions of times. Use your best judgement and do what you want

It was awhile back, but iirc the ABS Actuator new from the dealer is about $1300, and I think that was just for the unit alone. Then you'll need the ABS hardlines, the ABS Sensors, new hubs with ABS sensor rotors, ABS control unit(ECU), New Master cylinder with the two output instead of three, and the rear diff sensor. I stopped researching after I saw the price of the ABS pump.

it's looking to be quite a costly conversion job. u'd be better off getting a car that comes with it.

oh, and a major to this:

why would you want abs for grip driving?
havent drivin a all out racecar that had abs yet... and dont think i will since it isnt to common in racing.
just get good at driving your car. and when your actually confident and good is when you wont think you need safety nets like abs or active stabilty control and other things of that nature. its all about the driver, his car, and how well he knows how to drive it.
