Another Wheel Fitment/spacer ?

Another Wheel Fitment/spacer ?
I know these questions get asked alot but i did search.
Ok, i was trying to do the math and figure out what size spacers im going to need since i got some bad offset wheels(but for really cheap).
My wheels that i got are 17X7 +38 and 17X9 +35 (weak offsets)
But I have read that 17X9 +20 is a good offset.
So for my 17X7 +38 I would need a +35mm spacer/adaptor for it to come close to that offset. I was thinking will be about 15 mm shy of that offset. I was also thinking about going with a Kics spacer, but they only come in 30mm, or i found a reputable guy who will sell me a custom made 35 mm spacer for a good price.
If i get the 35mm spacer then i would need a 5mm spacer for the rear wheel (9 +35) to match the offset of the front wheel (7 +38 with 35mm spacer). Is that correct?
Also, is a 30mm Kics spacer starting to get in the realm of being very unsafe?
i hope that didnt get to confusing and hopefully im starting to grasp this concept
Thanks again in advance.

um, the wheels dont have to have identical offsets if thats what your trying to get at..not sure ur kinda confusing, maybe this will help. First off what size tires have you purchased so far? if you havent bought any yet then good.
For the rear i would run about a 20mm spacer with like a 235 tire. For the front the 35mm spacer would prolly be good, although a little bigger would work to. but if you can get a good deal on the 35mm then id rock that, oh and a 205 tire.

Lol
Sorry about the confusion, i was tired and had a long day.
Yeah i know the offsets arent going to be identical. I just wanted to get them close so they look good. No i havent purchased the tires yet. I was thinking 205 for the front and 235s for the rear like you said.
So a 35mm spacer for the front and a 20 for the rear?
will the wheels look flush with that? Even with the horrible offset up front (7 +38).
So i will essentially have 7 +3 up front and 9 +15 in the rear. Right?
thanks

wow you should have gotten wheels with better offsets.
Your going to wear out your wheel bearings if you run spacers like that.
A 17x7 +38 is not going to in any way equal 17x9 +20 theres at least 60mm of offset and width your missing.

I know
Yeah I know. If you didnt read above, I know they are bad offsets but i got them for very cheap. And im really not that worried about it. I decided to go with no spacer in the rear and +30 Kics Adaptor up front. Im not worried about 'staggard' setup. I just want flushness, and from what i have seen in pics it is the look im going for. As for wearing out bearings. I dont see how the bolt on adaptor plate style spacer will be any worse for my bearing that a wheel with a very low offset?
