Brake light on the console

Last night when I pulled into the driveway I noticed that the brake light on the console was lit up. I parked, turned the car off then back on and the light was on again and no, the parking brake was not up. Went out today and the light was normal...WTF!!! The brake fluid is not low either.

theres a sensor in the M/C that when it goes out or is going out will show you a brake light.

That or the switch for the e-brake is going retarded.

master cylinder, holds all the brake fluid attached to the brake booster

my bmw did this
the brake light comes on randomly
take the boot off of the brake handle and check all the wires and the switch. it could be a simple broken or loose switch
thats my guess
