Question Breaks (your thoughts please)

What would be the biggest, best brakes for the least amount of money? Would you recomend saving for thoses big break kits? Or shall I just get bigger rotors and calipers? Any suggestions?

i like to take breaks after i've worked on my car for a while

if you are talking about brakes, then i'd suggest 300zx brakes. i can tell you probably havent done much research on this

Don't you need to be able to stop with all the hp. But your right 300ZX 30mm calipers are good.

Most kits I've seen are front brakes, are there kits with front and rear or would I have to get front and rear kits seperately?

If you're talking aftermarket brakes. I'm, not sure. i saw a guy with endless brakes and they were the size of his rims. they were front and rears. if you do the 300ZX brakes. the rears are hard to do w/o losing the e-brake. So most ppl stick with the fronts only. The rears are possible tjough. Goodluck!!!

Read the post about brakes from stoptech. They go into why you almost never need a rear brake upgrade. Fronts are all you need to upgrade, just put some nice pads on the rear with slotted stock rotors and you'll be fine.

oh, look at zilvia too
someone on there figured out how to use sti calipers with evo rotors

All this may or may not be overkill. What will you be using your car for the most daily driving, autocross, a few track days here and there, drifting, drag, etc?

Most people do just fine with upgraded pads, ss brake lines, and new fluid. If your rotors are warped you can get new ones either brembo plain(non-slotted non-drilled/dimpled) or go for some project mu or other high end rotor.

If you want to blow alot of money you can get a bbk for front and rears by Greddy/GREX, Project Mu, Endless, or Stoptech. Your looking at $1000-3000 for the fronts and about the same for the rears, very overkill on such a light car.

The 300zx upgrade is common and not to hard although some peopel complain that the 300zx brakes are to on/off there is no real in between.
