coilover options?

anyone suggest any moderatly priced full coilover options for my s14? I am looking to spend under a grand and am looking for a full coilover that will best optimize daily driving. I dont drift or race is just want a smooth daily driving and the option to be low as possible. I looked at tien basic's but was really curious what else was out there. thanks for all the opinions.

I agree, D2 has the same adjustments as Tein Flex, Apexi N1, and others but at a more attractive price

D2 are ok.... still cost to much for what they are... when they were $600 to $800 they were a deal....

i would recomend that you get some Silk Roads or Tein

My friend has the lower middle class tanabe's on his S14, pretty good IMO. Nice handling, a little bouncy from what people say...but not for me.

Ncal-
I have the basic Tanabe SO-C Type 2's on my ghetto car. Good basic, cheap coilover...Does its job. It doesn't have the adjustments of the more pricier units. Pretty much only ride height, no shock adjustments. Rebound is a little off in my opinion. Maybe a little more to fix it. I wish I could adjust it. But good deal in my opinion.

I know you're looking for some middle-ground coilovers (pricewise) but you can't imagine the convenience of adjustable length and adjustable dampening coilovers... moreso if you get Tein, because if you opt later for EDFC you won't regret it

I didnt want tiens because I dont have the option to go very low. I actullay got my tanabe's on today. There not bad for the price. They could be alittle stiffer in the turns at certain times however when ruff pavement or railroad tracks they handle nice. i have them adjusted all the way down and i'll try to get pics up soon.

HI, New here. smashed up my teg pretty good and not worth fixing it so i'm parting it out and getting a good deal on a '91 240.

anyway i'm looking for a ***** out suspension. something thats "streetable" but will be responsive and firm.

i've always liked endless ZEAL coilovers cuz they are tru coil overs, height adjustability is seperate from the spring perch so i would be able to get the car corner balanced. and they have a great reputation and racing experiance to back their R&D

so i'm looking at the ZEAL Function B6 with the BASIC springs. the street spring rate is 6 kg/mm (fr) and 5 kg/mm(rr) only thing tho is they include a $200 installation charge for an authorized dealer to install them, but i can waive that which would void my warrentee but i bet i cna sweet talk them.

my intentions are tracking the car at auto-x, learning to drift. and i cna deal with a stiff ride.. so thoughts?

how much was the Tanabe's you got?

BTW when we first installed the Flex on my S14, it was so low it got caught... on the transition between the garage floor and the top of the driveway (and I live on flatland)

I have looked D2s a little bit, those plates at the top are for camber adjustment correct? Does this allow for total camber correction if you have them dropped a lot? also how would you correct for camber in the rear?
