Depends how much money you got to spend. I personal use Tein HE, which is pretty good especially for the price. But if you got money go with HKS Hyper Max 2. Get coils only if your serious about drifting or autocross. Springs will get you by but won't handle the same.

HAHA, but yea, coilovers are the definit way to go if u say ur gonna get into drifting. Springs jus lower the car for looks IMO.

A few reliable brands of coilovers would be:

1.) TEIN

2.) HKS

3.) APEXi

4.) Tanabe

5.) JIC

There are other brands, but the ones I mentioned are the best in the coilover buisness IMO. TEIN is the usual way to go, but if u do have a lot of this --> $$$ to spend, then find a JIC retailer and pick up a set. For me... TEIN... But I have to save up so friggin much for em LOL.

Be sure to look at the warranty and service locations, just in case.

I heard that Tein are good but once the seal goes they have to be sent back to japan and takes forever to get them back.

I think that's JIC... Tein does repairs here in the U.S. if I'm not mistaken... and Tein's customer service is WAY better than JIC not only from what people have said, but personal experience too:

My cousin: "What happens if I break something on the shock?"

Tein: "Give us a call, we'll then have you bring them in or send them to us depending on where you are, and then we'll have a tech take a look at them to see what kind of damage you might have done, and if it's repairable here. You don't necessarily have to buy a new unit because our coilovers are made rebuildable..."

JIC: "You have to buy a replacement. Anything else?"

I wasn't saying that tein wasn't a good set up. I was saying that when you have to get them rebuilt they get sent back to japan, and it takes along time. A friend of mine that road races informed me of this.

Depending on your application....drifting, road racing, street driving.....the shock will wear out sooner. Koni has some nice stuff that can be rebuilt in the states.
