crazy steering wheel

I dont know if this maybe an effect of HICAS, but anytime after 55mph the steering wheels gets really really shaky and wobbly and vibrates ALOT. My tires are a bit baldy but i dont think the baldness would cause that much effect to the steering wheel?? help please

Does it go away above a certain speed?

Really sounds like a tire balance issue. Since your tires seem to be worn, I'm leaning even more in this direction as tires don't re-balance themselves for wear.

well...at fast acceleration i dont seem to notice it being shaky, but the only thing for sure is that around 55 is where it begins.

usually the shaking in the steering wheel indicates bad alignment the baldness in the tires, where is it?

The mechanicals are probably still fine - that's just a rubber boot. Courtesy Nissan sells them for ~$15 each. I have them sitting in my closet waiting to get installed with my tie rod ends.

Yours look really wet though. DO you have a ps fluid leak from the same place?
