Hi guys, I have a question about 240 in winter season. This is my first time I will use a rear wheel drive car in winter and I live in New Jersey so i am preety sure It will snow. I have almost new Yocahama all season tires in the back but now I ask myself should I get winter tires. Also my front tires are not new but not bad would it make a difference if I put new winter tires on front?

It wouldn't hurt to put winter tires all around, or maybe you can put the yoko rubber in the front and winter tires in the rear.

 

get good tires even if its only for rain, i've spun out in light and heavy rain with crappy tires, either that or drive really really slow

 

snow tires help a lot when it comes to just feeling safer and more incontrol

snow hits and its time to practice drifting with any rearwheel car

 

i drive slow.

 

I'm in the same situation. i'm gonna take my chances with all season tires. That, and I have a Front wheel drive car for a good part of the winter

I am in north jersey in a small town of saddle Brook, and I think I might use snow chains

 

I'm in north jersey, in Wayne. hmmmm snow chains... I'll chance it just as my car is and if I have trouble I'll go out and get snow chains or something.... or throw some sandbags in my trunk.

 

I'm in Pennsylvania and last year it snowed alot. I drove my 240 the whole time, with regular worn tires. As long as I drove slow I was alright, like keeping it in 2nd slow. I'd shift into 3rd to try and go a little faster and I'd slowly start to spin so I'd just brake a little and put her back in 2nd.

Also sucked because the area where I live is all uphill from the area from where I work, so going there wasn't really a problem, a little scary at times, but getting back home was horrible. I got stuck on some of the smallest hills. I only live 10mins max from my work but then it took damn near an hour, most the time was trying to find a route where their were no hills. So I would say snow tires would probably help somewhat, but just using regular tires and maintaining safe speeds should do also.
