Ebay C Pillar Bar? Any good?

first off..

YES I DID SEARCH!

well ok now to the topic, well it's a simple question. does anyone have a review on the ebay c pillar bars? they are dirt cheap, and well they are the only C Pillar Bars i've found for a hatchback.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94...spagenameZWDVW

that's the one i had in mind, to be specific.

no. gay. make one yourself, get some piping from homedepot/orchard/lowes and torch the ends and smash them flat. bend and mount. it will work a lot better and it will be cheaper.

wat would you use to mount it? i've been thinking about making my own too but haven't thought of a good way to mount it without having to fab up a bracket as pictured in the ebay link.

you drill holes in the hammered down ends to mount them to the seat belt mounting points.

how would it not do anything? just wondering...

isn't it both the same thing? since you still have to hammer the part and drill the hole?

well anyways i got some piping today haha, for FREE! gotta love old friends from high school!

but yeah, we'll see how it comes out and if i notice a difference from having this bar...

^^^ not only is what he says true ^^^ but the mounting brackets on either end, the steel or whatever is really thin. plus, half the fun of having a "tuner" car is building whatever you can urself. just my two pennies.

steel. cuz my crappy arc welder only welds steel, not that you need to weld anything for this c pillar bar to function normally but steel is stronger than aluminum, although it is heavier.

I got one for my coupe. Can't say that it makes much of a performance difference though. I did read somewhere that it makes more of a difference on a hatch than a coupe.
