I wasnt too sure where to post this but , the 240 im looking at buying has a few lil places where the frame is rusted through, i think i can weld in new peices of steel and fix this but i was just curiuse if somone could post pictures of an under carage so i can look and decide what i need to do, becuase i dont have the car in my posession. Should i fix it or just move on from this?? The car is only 200 bucks with a running KA so i figure i cant be out a whole lot but I was just looking for some insite

is rusted all the way through? or is it just some surface rust. make sure, cause if its all the way through thats a crap load of rust to go through that thick of metal. if its surface rust just take a grinder and/or steal brush and go at it. then re-coat with some undercarriage paint.

its got a few spots that are rusted through on the manifold side, and the floorboards are pretty tore up too, so im going to have to weld a new floor in.

oh you said frame. floor boards not part of frame. if you can weld get it. if you cant you might want to toss the idea of getting it. if its as rusty as you say it might be a lot of body work. as for the frame if its rusted through personally i would cut out the rust and weld new steal in its place.
