grip driving vs. drifting
grip driving vs. drifting
Now i really dont want to sound like an *** but i dont want my 240sx to have a drift setup because i am not really into drifting. Youre prolly gonna ask "why buy a 240sx?", well the answer is simple because i prefer rear-wheel drive over anything else. The concept of drifting is new to me and ive never tried. Im more into highway racing, where i think it really counts. Now to get to the point, i want my s13 to be able to handle on the highway, i want that think sweeping in and out of lanes better than an evo (i dont like awd, plus i love the s13 hatchbacks). So what kind of suspensions setup would i have to go with to achieve this. And please, be gentle with me.
p.s. I am very high right now!!!!!!!1

HAHAHA!! Suspension... pshhh, who needs it. Tell you what, take a steel rods, take out your struts and spring, and attach the rods to the strut tower mounts and lower control arms. That will do just fine for your sissy racing.
Sorry to say it buddy, but i don't think companies have developed the special lane changing model coilovers. Thats all we need right now ...

- I here by confiscate your S13 to save it from further embarrassment...

Man GAH!
I just wasted my time reading your STUPID thread. Now i am going to waste more time posting on it.
1.) Sell your car. Go back to your honda, FANBOY.
2.) Why do you need suspension when your just going to sit on your *** at your mom's home smoking a blunt?
3.)Highway racing?? Looks like someone played to much tokyo xtreme racer.
4.) JDMxDrift is right.

LOL Tein Super Lane Change coilovers. I bought a set for 10cents on ebay. I'm very happy with them. especially when I set them to "super cut you off mode".
Nah you don't need somethin as serious as a drifting setup. Just stick with the norm - springs, shocks, strut bar, and stabilizer bar if you really wanna get nasty. But you'll be fine with the first 3. Goodluck!!

Now wait gentleman
There was no reason to get nasty...LOL. I live in Michigan, here its always cold and always icy. Drifting here only survives several months, barely even that. Like I said before I havent got to experience drifting, because all i am doing is racing this thing whenever i get a chance to drive it, which is not a lot. I never said i wouldnt give drifting a chance, i just dont have the money or resources to do something like that. Plus its still pretty bad up here, the roads and all. And i dont want to mess up my car by doing some crazy *** arab drifting into another car. I enjoy watching drifting and i love the concept of it. I just havent learned yet. All i was talking about was what i can do now!!!!!!!!!

My question was what can i do to make my car handle a little bit better when im racing on the highway? Nothing more, nothing less. Im not trying supporting grip driving over drifting or vice versa. Just trying to make the best of what im doing now, which is racing on the highway.
Why not jus get a mini van, pack it full of kids an parents an then slam into it goin 120. Racing on the streets is stupid man. Take it to the track. About the suspension. jus get some nice AGX's an some Tein S Techs an you'll be fine.
i chose the wrong platform because it handles well? that was my whole point, i want a good handling car. im not trying to go straight, im racing on the highway and eventually i plan on getting into drifting.

if ur gonna race, take it to the track. Racing on public roads is dangerous and wreckless.
