i have been planing to do a hydo handbrake conversion on my s13 and also keep my factory cable handbrake(for street parking) as well. i found some pics of a rhd s14 with the conversion on the drivers side and the factory handbrake(for street use) .im going to get a k sport hydro handbrake and mount it on the passanger side of the trans tunnel. what do you guys think?

yes.. that is cool and basic and i will be doing it here.. man.. it sucks drifting a car with worn cables.

i don't use the e brake much becuase the places i have drifted doesn't really need it.. but as my skill goes up and i need more angle and higher entry... a good e brake is a must.

Correct me if Im wrong, but installing the lever on the other side would make it harder to pull yes? I mean, most of the guys I know who use it prefer to have it closer to them so its easier to get to instead of reaching so far...

I dunno, I would prefer it on the driver side closer to me...

And for 250? Is that with all the parts you need??? If so, Im all over it too!

EDIT: Took a peek on google and found these guys selling for 190... not sure how much shipping is though. Stupid work place wont let me access egay...

my legs are too damn long for even my stock e-brake.
if i pull up my stock e-brake while in a seated driving position, my leg gets stuck between the e-brake and the steering wheel.
this thing sounds like a god-send to me if it can be mounted on the passenger side.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

You can do this for $100 easy!

Kentaro, just do what Luke did, but closer to the dash/center console. This should clear the leg room problem... I hope. I had the same issue with my 14.

it still allows for use of the factory handbrake, so why not for street use?

There is a way, but you'd have to fab up another brake line to the rear... I'll have to look into this one since I might build a autoX/drift car.

wow.... that CNC kit looks great, and affordable, would be excellent to break em loose in a drift.... might have to look into that myself.... would be able to have Z32TT brakes on all four corners.... too bad i'm going OE brakes right now... but will be perfect for me after i get some track time in and some more exp.... seems like an easy install too.....
