Thumbs up Lowering springs= stiff sporty feel?

Will lowering springs give my 240 a stiffer feel? Also how difficult are they to install? Thanks!

Also are coil-overs the same thing?

It matters if the shocks that they are paired with can dampen the springs correctly.

What are you looking to install.

I'm looking at a set of Tein springs, firgured I'd get them off eBay. Have a look and let me know what you think.

I have Teins. They rock! Of course they're a little stiffer than stock springs, and like Stan said you gotta patch them with some aftermarket shocks or your car will get a bit bouncy.

As for installing, you need basic wrenches to remove the front/rear shocks, and (more important) a set of spring compressors to remove the spring from the shock itself. If you haven't done it before, I suggest having someone do it for you, as a "shooting spring" can be very dangerous.

Hey lemme ask ya l2aine how much did it drop your car? and even though they are just springs, does it give you more aggresive handling?? (if you drive it hard that is..)

I didn't measure "before/after" but it looks about 1 and a half maybe... low enough to scare driveways (my front lip is trashed), and the car feels better than stock when I drive hard, but not as good as a car with upgraded shocks (the GR-2's on my car aren't the best choice for hard driving, but they can hold up decent)

Moving to Suspension because thats what this is.

Tein makes good stuff. You'll probably want to pair them with tokico blue's or kyb AGX's, sticking with stock shocks and aftermarket springs isn't a good suspension move. Installing them is not that difficult, there's a writeup on nico. Moreso time consuming the first time, and shooting springs are bad, one almost knocked the living daylights out of me.

english 101. compare, not compair. upgrade, not up grade.
Search for springs and brand names, you'll get all sorts of reviews.
Or wait for hyjnx's FAQ, will include springs and everything you want to know, right hyjnx? lol.

If you want stiff and sporty, get a new set of TC rods, and an entire set of polyurethane suspension busings from www.pdm-racing.com or some other place. If you want to go hardcore, get some Heim joints for your suspension arms. For the most part, new bushings will definitely liven up your car.
