i must have screwed up earlier i thought i posted this but guess not. here goes. why do all these people insist on saying megans are the same as apexi. they arent. made by same manufacturer sure. made to near or same specs sure. but they still arent the same. apexi has been here for a while. you get there service not megans when you buy apexi and vise versa. not saying megan are bad, in fact i have a set. buy what you feel is good for you. but dont call it something its not.

I would rather spend $150-200 more and get the d-drug coil-overs then the Megan, if anything went wrong I would just drive up to tougefactory and get them replaced

its probably like walmart stuff... you get the sams brand stuff which is the same stuff as the name brand but that failed some test or did not meet some requirement to carry the brand name, so sams brand goes on it... (kroger and the other places are the same)
So I wander what inspection the coilovers didnt pass or what requirement they didnt meet???? Just my 2 cents of speculation...

I agree the assembly is completely different. Shell's "coilover housing" are usually contracted from the same companies doesn't at all mean that the dampener and bushing assemblies are no where near the same thing.
Megan uses cheaper subcontracted parts.
You guys can disagree with me all you want........

i look at like this. maybe they are close. but why would they give out all the r and d on their coilovers so that megan can create a copy for cheaper. not gonna happen unless apexi is stupid and from the looks of their business ill vote, not stupid. more than likely apexi makes the manufacturers not give out their specs. so
probably close but definitely not the same

I think only a dyno of both coilovers will show which is better and if in fact they are the same.
