No Front Sway Bar...Didn't Know It!

Two weeks ago I jacked my car up, removed a couple of stock parts like tension rod brackets, tension rods and the sway bar. I also gave it a good cleaning while I was under there...filthy. I had decided to improve my suspension starting with the front which is why I replaced these parts. When I was under there I noticed that one of the endlinks on my sway bar was not connected to the sway bar...like a untied thread through a needle. I couldn't believe that I hadn't noticed that before while installing the springs/struts sometime earlier. It then dawned on me that all the time I had been driving around and autocrossing that I was basically missing a front sway bar and just cruising around with a big heavy piece of metal on the front of my car. I was planning to upgrade to a beefy Whiteline sway bar to reduce body roll but this morning I decided that I needed to experience the performance of the stock bar first because apparently my excessive body roll was due to the lack of a sway bar. I took the stock bar, removed the worn out D-brackets, bushings, the one good endlink still connected to it, cleaned it up and painted it with a fresh coat of black. I'm gonna buy some new endlinks, D-brackets and re-install it. It may turn out that I like the performance of the stock bar and would have wasted $175 unnecessarily.
