Rear End?

I'm having trouble with my back end. When ever i go over bumps, small multiple bumps, my rear tires bounce over them and the whole car vibrates. I was wondering if coilovers would solve this, i've heard they are stiff so, i didn't know. My shocks or struts I forgot the diff. are shot and need to be replaced. thanks for the input.

sounds like your rear shock(s) are bad.

shocks are probably done, and/or maybe your subframe spacers are dried up.

Advice: if you don't know the difference between shocks and struts, stay away from coilovers until you have more car knowledge bro =)

im having this same problem but it feels like when i go over bumps that my back end kinda feels like it fishtails back and forth...doesnt feel like my tires are but the body itself, liek swaying...i was thinking it was the spacers but i dont know. what do u guys think?

I had that problem with my 90. The dampers were definitely blown, but I figured the side to side sorta sway was from the bushings in the suspension being worn out.

I replaced the rear dampers with some used GR-2s and the feel of the car firmed right up.

To see if your dampers are blown, go push on the fender of the car above the wheel well, with the intentions of compressing the shock and making it bounce. You might have to 'pump' the car a few times to build up the necessary momentum. If the car rebounds more than once, your dampers are likely blown.
