I just put on my CUSCO RUCAs today, and all went pretty well.

Does anyone else have these and know if there is a "proper" way to adjust them?

Once you attached the bolts on both sides, turning the middle nut causes both the inner AND outer threads to unwind simultaneously.

Since I can't read Japanese, I assumed this was the correct way to do it, then tightened down the bottom nut all the way to the bottom, and the top nut onto the middle one.

Also, what is the function of the pillow ball? Once each end of the RUCA is in place, does it simply allow for rotation around the axis of the bolt?
