Question Which spacers with 43 offset rim?

Hello, I am still learning so please be patient and don't give me the 'Search for it' speech.

I want to buy some 5zigen 7x17 Corpse for my 89' s13 which has an offset of 43mm. In the future I would like to eventually put some wide fenders in the front and back (probably 50mm if not 30mm).

But for now I want to put those rims onto my car with some new coilovers so I will be using stock fenders.

I was told that I need an offset of 35mm or lower so I don't hit my brake calipers - therefore I would need at least a 15mm spacer or something to bring the 43mm to 28mm right?

Now my question is.. whats the largest spacer I can put onto my car with the 43mm offset rims that I wish to buy (I don't really care if my wheels stick out past my fenders) that will work with my stock fenders?

Thanks for the help.

u wont hit struts with 7" wide. you need a 60mm spacer for it to be flush
edit: why not consider rwd wheels? you wont have to mess with all this jargon. 5zigen make fn01r-c's and typhoons in rwd sizes for 4/5 lug. i would reccomend 17x9 +20 if u do that. www.hopupracing.com
the point is if you want it to look good, you should consider diff wheels. rota d2's are out there too at autornd.com

but I like the corpse over the others...

so.. you're saying that if i put those corpse rims on with my stock fenders, I should be able to use a 60mm or less spacer?

Its just that I don't want to have to buy spacers twice If i am going to be getting wide fenders in the future. I would like to save some money if I can

Yes you made a good point - why get wide fenders if I only put 7" wide on, but 1.5" difference doesn't seem like that much, plus I don't think my car has the horse to spin those at the moment.

By the time I get the wide fenders put on and such, I might even do a 5 lug conversion and get new rims so.. anyways, those corpse ones that I want should work with whatever spacer I decide to get without hitting anything?

So you plan on running like a 2" spacer. Umm.... wow... Just wow.

You don't have money to buy new spacers but you are going to be doing widebody. Interesting...

Get the Rotas or Fn's. Seriously the ones you are talking about are made for hondas. They will look like poop on your car.

I have the money to buy spacers, but I would rather buy them once than having to buy them twice if I were to change anything down the road. Anyways.. These rims are the only ones that I like so far. Yes I wish I could put some fatty wide ones on, but the wide ones are all in at least 18" and they require the 5 lug conversion and Im not in the mood for spending a grand on that anytime soon. The rims are 17x7.5. I thought it was 7". I can live with 7.5.

IT WILL BE OK!

thanks for the help guys.

Get the rotas. The wheels you are looking at have a terrible offset. They will be severly sunken in the fend. It is not safe to be running that big of a spacer either. Don't just go by looks, becuase even though they have a nice design they will fit horribly on the car. If your gonna spend the money on rims do right. Get the proper size.

If you need some help with sizing/offset just ask.

Im sure you meant 50 not 5mm.

But in any case 50mm = 2 inches about. So that means you make your car a total of 4 inches wider.

i suggest a 18x10.5 +5 in the rear and a 17x9.5 +0 front.

thats what i would do.

How about buying a wheel that fits the car, widebody or not?

Sounds like a HIN trailerqueen to me
