Sticky emergency brake

I recently noticed that the emergency brake on my 95 240sx was sticking a little while I was driving. I had had this problem before, and I had taken my car to a mechanic who adjusted the brakes, but the problem has returned. If possible I would like to see if anyone here would know the most likely culprit for causing my emergency brake to stick, and what I could replace so that is does not happen again. I need to replace my brakes soon, and I think this should be fixed before I wear out my completely new brakes.

if its just the light , theres a switch at the base of the ebrake lever. if youve spilled soda or coffee down there it might be the prob

It, was the actual brake that was sticking not the light. I decided to go to a mechanic, (I had to do an inspection anyway) and he had the idea of disconnecting the emergency brake line from that side of the car, until a new line could be ordered.

When we got the wheel off though, it became very clear that the emergency brake was not sticking, and the brake was slightly engaged, because the piston for that caliper had gotten stuck in position and rusted, leaving that brake slightly engaged. So I orderd a new caliper, and hopefully that will fix my problem.

yeah, you gotta service the sliders on the caliper from time to time.
