Stock springs..BIG difference
OK.. I have two sets of stock springs sitting here. UNCUT & original(supposedly original on the 1993). The shorter springs are from a 1993 200sx. The tall springs are off a 1991 240sx.
Question is..or actually my wondering is...why the HUGE difference in height?
I looked for a thread/website/listing that lists color codes for the stock springs like this site for the 300sx http://www.az-zbum.com/information.springs.shtml but I cannot find anything.
This is obviously only the front set. I havent taken the 1991 rear springs off the shocks to check the height.
The short springs have a PINK(bottom) & PURPLE(top) marking. The long springs have YELLOW(bottom) & GREEN(top) marking.
Any hint as to spring rate, spring height, ect?

OK, sorry for the typo. The 1991 is a 240sx...wtf is a 140sx?
I still currently have a cheap coilover setup on the car.
I know have a "newer" set of shocks & struts with two sets of STOCK springs to choose from...
The springs off the 1993 200sx(S13 w/ CA18DET) are SHORTER then the 1991 240sx. I was under the impression reading through all the threads on NICO, here & 240sx forums, that ALL the springs were the same. Because only one spring height & rate is given for the S13. I know this isnt right but cannot find ANY other info on stock springs.
I got both sets because the P.O. ordered a used stock coil spring/shock & strut from the states. Also the owner of the 1993 200sx gave me his old springs because he upgraded.
I put on the setup that came from the states & the car sat like a friggin..I dont know what. I was almost able to put both my fists between the tire fender gap..it was HUGE. I was going to check the springs & to make sure nothing was wrong. This is when I noticed the difference in the two springs.
That is when I decided to post this thread/
